The role of the CEO is to provide strategic leadership and direction to the organisation and also to champion the organisation's strategy
Office structure
The CEO is assisted by the following three (3) distinct offices/departments:
Executive Coordinator
Strategy and Impact Assessment Coordinator
Legal Services
The three departments have the following mandates:
Executive Coordinator
To coordinate all the executive functions on behalf of the CEO and the whole organisation
Facilitate and assist the Chief Executive Officer in the co-ordination, organisation and prioritisation of both the flow and quality of work and information.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the CEO to enable the smooth implementation of projects and the coordination of deliverables from the Divisions
- Manage protocol, CEO travel logistics, and information quality and flow in the CEO's Office.
- Manage projects for the CEO
- Acts as secretariat to the Executive Committee
Strategy and Impact Assessment Coordinator
To ensure best practice strategy development and execution and alignment of operation to strategic foundations
Coordination of strategy matters and organisational development issues.
Ensure strategy formulation, alignment and execution.
Ensure that the gap between plans and realisation of these plans is at a minimum.
Services the whole organization and focuses on strategy impact, performance outcomes, operational efficiencies and work outputs as agreed within the organisation.
Legal Services Manager
Act as the legal advisor to the organisation and coordinate the activities of the LEA Board.
- Provides legal advice, support and intervention to the Authority.
- Prepares and reviews contracts and other legal documents
- Ensures compliance with statutory requirements
- Coordinates and manages the provision of effective legal services by ensuring that LEA complies with relevant statutes and regulations.
- The office also acts as a secretariat to the Board, as well as ensuring that the Board's activities are carried out in accordance with corporate governance best practices.
