Technology and Innovation Division

The Technology and Innovation Division is responsible for facilitating technology utilisation, adoption and diffusion by SMMEs. TID also provides business infrastructure and working space to SMMEs. TID has one department, Technology and Innovation. This unit achieves the following objectives;

Technology and Innovation

• Identify technological gaps on ideas/proposed projects and enterprise operations
• Undertake technical feasibility studies for LEA registered entrepreneurs
• Conduct technology research, tracking and sourcing for the consumption of entrepreneurs
• Acquire requisite technology identified (for new ideas)
• Ensure seamless transition from old to new technological requirements
• Develop special product entrepreneurs to international levels & standards
• Inculcate the culture of continuous improvement in the organization
• Inculcate the culture of continuous improvement and innovation at enterprise level
• Ensure compliance
• Enable the acquisition of innovative technologies for SMME development in Botswana
