Capacity Development Division

The Capacity Development Division provides capacity development of entrepreneurs and SMMEs through training, mentoring and entrepreneurship development. CDD has two departments, Training and Mentoring and Entrepreneurship Development. These two units achieve the following objectives:

Entrepreneurship Development

• Identify potential entrepreneurs
• Customize and tailor make entrepreneurial programs for best fit with market requirements
• Bring out entrepreneurial competencies amongst citizens
• Facilitate the development of viable business proposals by entrepreneurs
• Assess and discuss areas of improvement in operational efficiency of the enterprise
• Facilitate access to financing for the funding of business plan implementation
• Develop the entrepreneurship culture through select strategies
• Accredit mentors and private agents that will partner with LEA in program delivery to SMMEs

Training and Mentoring

• Develop and implement training and mentoring programmes
• Monitors the impact of mentors' and trainers' interventions.
