LEA- Possible Phishing Attack

1. The Local Enterprise Authority is aware that there are unsolicited email messages being sent from its domain. Note that this has been identified as a possible phishing attack.
2. The Authority has taken appropriate measures to tighten its security controls in response to this possible attack and is currently monitoring the situation. We remain vigilant and always committed
to protect our stakeholders and members of the public.
3. The Authority additionally wishes to advise all its stakeholders NOT to open and DELETE any emails received with “Payment”. However, if it happens that you open the email and find the following in the email body, DO NOT click on the link:

LEA AND CLIENTS AT THE ITB BERLIN

Tamog Tours & Safaris and Xaoo Safari Camp and Khwai Expeditions Camp and Detour Africa Expeditions-Botswana, Zimbabwe & Zambia are part of the ITB Berlin 2023.

The ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin) is the world's largest tourism trade fair. The companies represented at the fair include hotels, tourist boards, tour operators, system providers, airlines and car rental companies.

The ITB Berlin takes place annually in March at the Messe Berlin.

LEA partners with Central District Council

The collaboration aims to promote inclusive growth in the district to ensure sustainability of SMMEs and job creation. Central District Commissioner Ms Angelina Leano and Palapye District Commissioner Mr. Mompati Ntapu with the procurement officers from the district toured some of the SMMES in the area to appreciate their products and production capabilities last Friday, 4 2023.

Buyer-Seller and Stakeholder Workshop at Palapye

LEA hosted Stakeholder exhibition and Buyer-Seller workshop on the 21st February 2023. The workshop was intended to enhance market access for LEA assisted SMMEs, through involving citizen owned businesses and various institutions particularly procuring entities and retailers in the Central District. In addition, participants an opportunity for real-time conversations on issues that affect SMMEs including those of procurement compliance in the district.

The event was held at Kediretswe grounds.
