JOB PURPOSE
The Local Enterprise Authority (LEA), mandated to promote entrepreneurship and develop Small, Medium and Micro
Enterprises (SMMEs), is transitioning into an ecosystem leader and orchestrator for the SMME sector. This strategic re-orientation reflects LEA’s commitment to becoming a sustainable and resilient organisation that supports Government’s true north and national development agenda. To support this transformation, LEA seeks dynamic, passionate and high-performing talent to drive its financial management and sustainability agenda.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The role is responsible for ensuring that all internal and statutory compliance requirements within LEA are met, while maintaining accurate accounting records for the Authority.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent, and a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA or ACCA.
EXPERIENCE
- At least five (5) years’ accounting experience in a commercial environment, with a background in financial accounting.
- A background and experience in auditing will be an added advantage.
